OUR SHORT STORY...
Rapid consolidation of the food industry had us frustrated with our lack of choice in our food sources.
This led us to focus on local Food Sovereignty through what we could produce and through relationships with other producers.
09/2022
OffBeat Acres was formed and focused on Pasture raised poultry

Our goal was to sell to our community, but the only markets we felt that could sustain our business, or other vendors, were an hour away.
04/2024
With the support of other local vendors, we were able to start a Saturday morning community market where we could collectively give more access to our local residents.

The Market was growing, but struggled to bring other local producers. Farmers are busy... and a weekly market isn't always the answer. That, along with the fragmentation of local supply, made it difficult for locals to regularly source farm fresh product.
09/2024
Instead of seeking out non-local producers to attend the market, we saw an opportunity to continue to work with the local farms to bring their product to a central location, made accessible throughout the week.
This is purpose of the Groveland Exchange CSA...
Creating a strong network of local producers is the mission...The addition of events and entertainment serves to highlight that mission and to add additional financial support.
Any way that you engage with us at the Exchange, at the Market, or on the Farm allows us to sustain this operation.
WE'RE EXCITED TO GROW DEMAND FOR OUR LOCAL FARMERS AND OFFER CONSISTENT SUPPLY FOR OUR LOCAL RESIDENTS!
